| ماکرورابدوس اورنیتوگاستر مخمری است که در بسیاری از گونههای پرندگان در سراسر جهان یافت میشود. بهطور معمول در مابین بافت پیش معده و سنگدان پرنده رشد کرده و میتواند فاقد علائم بالینی باشد؛ اما تعدادی از پرندگان همراه با سوءجذب و لاغری درحالیکه اشتهای خوبی دارند در مدت زمان کوتاهی از بین میروند. شناسایی سریع برای رسیدن به بهترین نتایج درمانی با داروهای ضد قارچی الزامی است. هدف از این مطالعه، بررسی شیوع ماکرورابدوس اورنیتوگاستر در باجریگار و مرغ عشق (طوطی برزیلی) شهر یزد بود. 140 قطعه پرنده ظاهرا سالم مورد بررسی قرار گرفتند و از هرکدام 5 نمونه مدفوع اخذ گردید. در مجموع 700 نمونه با روش گسترش مرطوب مدفوعی و رنگ آمیزی گرم ارزیابی شدند. همچنین، بررسی هیستوپاتولوژی بر روی ۳ پرنده تلف شده که علائمی از جمله بیاشتهایی و کاهش وزن داشتند، انجام شد. در نمونههای گسترش مرطوب و هیستوپاتولوژی، ماکرورابدوس اورنیتوگاستر یافت نشد که نشاندهنده شیوع بسیار پایین این ارگانیسم در باجریگار و مرغ عشقهای شهر یزد است. | ||

| Macrorhabdus ornithogaster is a yeast found in many bird species worldwide. It usually grows between the proventriculus and the gizzard and may have no clinical symptoms, but some birds die in a short period of time due to malabsorption and emaciation, while they have a good appetite. Rapid diagnosis is required to achieve the best treatment results with antifungal drugs. The study aimed to evaluate the prevalence of Macrorhabdus ornithogaster in budgerigars and lovebirds in Yazd city. 140 apparently healthy birds were studied and 5 stool samples were collected from each bird. A total of 700 stool samples were evaluated by fecal wet-mount and gram staining methods. Also, histopathological examination was done on 3 dead birds which had signs including anorexia and weight loss. Macrorhabdus ornithogaster was not found in wet smear and histopathological samples, which shows a very low prevalence of this organism in budgerigars and lovebirds in Yazd city. | ||
