| This article scrutinized the numerical investigation and optimization heat transfer analysis for a double diffusive mixed convection of cold water in a porous enclosure containing two sided moving lids with the inclusion of Dufour and Soret effects. The vertical boundaries of the enclosure are preserving with different uniform temperatures and concentrations, while the horizontal walls are treated as adiabatic. The lid-driven walls are constructed in four different cases based on the moving direction of vertical walls. In recognition of the link between pressure and velocity, the SIMPLE algorithm is utilized to solve the governed flow equations. The influence of Darcy number ranging from 10-4 to 10-1 and porosity ranging from 0.2 to 0.8 is measured with the representation of streamlines, isotherms and isoconcentration contours, and average Nusselt number. It is found that, the case 2 where the left and right vertical walls are moving towards downward and upward directions yields the optimum heat and mass transfer rates than the remaining cases. In particular, the increasing percentage of heat and mass transfer rate is about 177% & 200% for case 2 when the increase of Da from 10-4 to 10-3. It is intended that the research conducted can be used in the design of electronic cooling systems in the future. | ||
